Hi everyone - It is my goal to have the jeep booked by the end of the week. I keep getting busy with other stuff. Anyway, what would be good for a family of four. It will be my husband, myself, 10 year old daughter and 13(turning 14 on STJ)son who keeps growing. He is now the same size as me at 5'7 but has passed my shoe size and in an 11 now so who knows how tall he will be in a few months. My husband is also pretty tall at 5'10 so want something confortable. Thanks. I am hoping to book tomorrow as it looks like we all will be home with a major ice storm coming tonight into tomorrow. Thanks again.

I'd go with the 4-door Jeep Wrangler.

4-door Wrangler is our favorite. It leaves room to keep some of your beach gear parked in the back.

The first year we got a 2 door jeep- kids looked like Gargoyles in the back with their knees up by their shoulders. After that its been 4 door Jeep. Comfort for all.
We've threatened them with getting the 2 door again if they don't behave.

4-door Jeep LIberty gives you lots of room and good traction on the roads...even when they are wet.

We are considering the Liberty or the Patriot for our upcoming trip - we will have 2 kids in a car seat. Not sure if there is any substantial difference between the two, size-wise. Seem like pretty comprable cars.
O'Connor used to rent Jeep Cherokees which were very roomy and a nice compromise between the smallish Wranglers and the huge Durangos. Unfortunately, they don't seem to carry them anymore and I don't know anyone else who does.

4 door jeep liberty will work great. If you have trouble finding one, try Conrad Sutton. He's tough on people skills but good cars and you can park free in his yard when downtown. Have a great trip.
