Villa Combinations---Villas Next Door to One Another

We appear to be planning a trip to St. John next Spring Break with several families. Originally we had all been thinking of staying at Westin but rates are very high. I'm trying to think of villa combinations that are within short walking distance so teens could hang out with one another during day or at night and walk home. I had thought of Gull Cottage/Splash and Veridian Garden on Great Cruz Bay, which I think are next door to one another. There must be several along Great Cruz Bay Road (around where Serenity/Villa Belvedere/Coqui are)that are next to each other---anyone remember that lineup of rentals on Great Cruz Bay road? Any other ideas of about 3 mid-price villas close together on Cruz Bay side? Thanks.

At the entrance to the Maria Bluff neighborhood there is a villa called Tennis Villa (I think) that is fairly large with a seperate guest house.
We stayed in the neighborhood and there were lots of rentals (I recognized the names) that would be easy to walk to and from.

Seawatch and Palm Villa are almost right next to each other. Cloud 9 (different rental company) is the other villa right there with them. I know Cloud 9 and Palm share a drive area but I don't know what side Seawatch is on.

are next to each other on Devers Bay (near Chocolate Hole). We stayed at Dream Come True (the first one). It was very nice and snokeling right off the beach was good as well. I hope you find something.

Tennis Villa is the first one I thought of, with 7 bedrooms and two pools. Some of Donald Schnell's properties are down the hill a bit on the Great Cruz Bay side - Beach Villa and Beach Estate. These are all walking distance to the Westin.
You might check with Destination St. John. They added another property in Virgin Grand Estates, Casa De Sonadores, that may be near Cocotier.

Vida de Mar and Sunset Beach are not only next to each other, they are the only ones on that road right on the beach at Dever's Bay as well. I know some people who stayed at both for a wedding before and really liked it.

THe only bad thing is the villas are expensive at that time as year as well, but a better deal than the westin, that is for sure.

iowaguy,
destination stjohn has a threesome of villas on upper rockridge road (turn left top of ist hill south bound past westin): la papaya (4 or 5 brs) and treasure ridge (3 br, one small lower level 2 equals on main level, just no views from brms)and temptress (2 bdrwith great views from every part and room). we have stayed at temp and tr and enjoyed, la pa, only know from driving by and looking at pics on web site. lap also below other two that are side by side so fairly step walk up. tr is on a ridge with some of best west (from north of stt)to east (beyond fish bay) views on island including gifft hill (c9 where we have stayed is between palm to c9's left and seawatch to the right). construction next door to tr should be over by next yr, just hope privacy not invaded. also allesandra is a great villa (bride and i just don't share queen beds) across st from t ridge.
cloud9villas has 2 side by side on tamarind over hart bay - sundance, a large 3 bedroom (1 small bdrm),and moonsong, a small 2 bdrm, 1 up one down and no pool. they share a dr and are side by side. good easy access by car. we've stayed at both and enjoyed. ron_L from illinois just got back from stay at moonsong and has posted some pics and comments. la barracuda and meritage that i know nothing about are just pass moon and sun and easy walk to sun and moon.
i believe carribeanvillas.com, on their villa location sec of web site id/s villas that are neighbors.
happy hunting.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. The various villas on Dever Bay would have been perfect---unfortunately, Vida de Mar is already reserved for the week we need next March.

Dolphin Run is close on top of the hill and Dream Come Home is next door to Sunset Beach. We've stayed at Sunset Beach twice and liked it. It was off the Caribbean Villas list for a while and there was one or two negative reports, but they may have fixed things. Rara Avis is over that way as well.
It looks like we'll be on island at the same time. My oldest daughter will be 16 then, I imagine we'll run into each other.

How many bedrooms total do you need? Eden's Whim (seaviewhomes.com) is in Great Cruz Bay and has 5 bedrooms. I bet if you call Mark at Seaview he could let you know what is close by.
If you don't need to be in Cruz Bay, I am renting Cara Mia and Golden Dragon (total 7 bedrooms) in 2 weeks. White Cottage (4 bedrooms) is on the other side of Cara Mia. These houses are in Point Rendezvous on Fish Bay and are very close to each other.
Good luck!

That's too bad - they are going early for next year already! Maybe the other suggestions for Dever's Bay would work?
You'll find something - there are lots of good suggestions here. Happy hunting!

Regarding the villas on Great Cruz Bay Road, if I remember correctly, if the houses are on your right it goes Belvedere, a villa I don't know the name of, Serenity, and then Coqui is the last house before the hill.

Coming around from the Westin on Maria Bluff are:
Colibri, don't know the next villa, Belvedere, don't know the next villa, Serenity, then Coqui. Past that (the third house farther, I think) is Beyond the Sea. Splendore and La Brisas Caribe are above them but a little walking never hurt teenagers. Hale Lani and Villa Maria are close nearby but I haven't pinpointed them yet.
Near the Westin would be good for the teenagers to enjoy the amenities, water trampolines, etc.
On Devers Bay, there's Sunset Beach, then Vida De Mar, then Dream Come True on the water. Above them is Island Time. Dolphin Run is across the street above it. Just past them on the same road overlooking Hart Bay are Poinciana and Rendezview.
Also on Chocolate Hole are Cliffside, Ciellodonna, Ebbtide, and Cygnus all in a row.
On Gifft Hill, turning off the main road is Coconuts, then Plumeria, Palm Villa, Cloud9, and Seawatch. All close to each other.
I can give you Google Earth coordinates for any of these. You can see what my hobby is. Plotting villa locations.
If anybody knows coordinates for any villas, I'd love to add them to my database.
Thanks.
