USVI-On-Line

I made a res with budget, but I am reading some bad reviews on them. Could anyone give me some of the other choices on island or is budget an OK rental?

we have used dependable (as have many here) and they haven;t disapointed

We have used Budget on STT each of the last 3 times we've been down. All without a problem.

We use Amalie Car all the time. Always have newer (1-2 yrs old) vehicles in great condition. They are a local, family owned business and they also let you take them to STJ. www.amaliecar.com

Used them one time. Took just under 3 hours from the time we got in line until we were on our way. Approximately 1 hour in line and 2 hours once we finally reached the desk. We watched as the Avis desk would fill up and then empty as flights would arrive, over & over again.

Problem once we finally got to the front of the line was that our Jeep was supposedly getting cleaned. About an hour later it shows up, we fill out the paperwork and when I ask for the keys a look of puzzlement comes over the desk clerks face. Didn't I already give them to you he asks. Uh,no. Takes another hour to find the guy with the keys.

The Jeep was brand new and ran great for us. Dropping it off went quickly and smoothly. However they were taxing my attempt to be on "Island Time" when we picked that Jeep up.

We rented from Discount In STT Jan. 5 - 14. We had a brand new jeep. We highly recommend the rental agency. We had absolutely no complaints at all.
I had first made a reservation through AARP with Budget, but cancelled it...so glad we went with Discount!
