Just wondering what ferry we chould plan on catching. Is the CA ferry running. Also, we are big water drinkers...can we buy a case of water on the island? Is it going to shock my socks off?

Not sure about the ferry schedule, but on the water topic - yes you can buy a case of water but it will knock your socks off. If I recall correctly, at Starfish a case of H2O ran about $20.

So what do people do about water?

Our family of 6 bought a case of water and then saved the bottles and refilled at the villa. The villa (Sunnyledge) had decent water so this was not an issue, plus we're not overly picky as we have lived on well water for several years when living out in the boonies.

I guess it would depend on your water quality standards.

All ferries are running (unless for some reason they change the schedule in 2 days which can happen :) )

As far as water goes, go to St John Ice in the Lumberyard and buy the gallon jugs. A case of 4 gallons will be approx $8.00 (I really don't know how much the *new* cases are as we were using the refill option) and then refills are $0.50 per gallon.

Today is beautiful :) I suggest bringing a light sweater for evening (maybe a heavier one if you are on Bordeaux) and long pants even jeans for night as the Christmas Winds are strong and it gets cool - even visitors are commenting on how cool it is getting at night,

That's what I'm hearing! I was hoping to not hit cool weather but oh well. I'll find something to throw in! Thanks.
