What are the crowds like in June? Thinking about booking an early summer trip this year.

Hey Gigi,

I went this summer during the last week of June. There were no crowds at all. I did not need reservations for dinner any night, most of the beaches had less than a dozen ppl on them.

We tended to hang out at Francis and there were days where we had the beach completely to ourselves until 9am or so.

The only downside was during the last 3 days there was an EPIC mosquito problem. But, it had been extremely rainy during the week prior.

The earlier in June the better IMHO, after the first two weeks of June the kids start getting out of school and the numbers pick up. The last week of June leads into Carnival and Cruz Bay can be busy with locals over from St. Thomas at night. Great time to go though, with warm water and a somewhat cool breeze at night before the heat of July & August arrives.

I went the second week of June and LOVED it. Not too crowded, but everything was open until the low season. We had perfect weather and the water was warm!

I have been the last week of June for the past few summers and really enjoy it. As Muhaha said, the mosquitoes were out in force this past summer but there were some heavy rains prior to my trip.

I enjoy Carnival and really enjoy the warm air and water temperatures.

June is my favorite month to go. I did like early June a lot. Even when we took the kids in late June it was not crowded. But that was in 2007.
