My verizon cell phone works every time I am in Cruz Bay... now I want to experiment with Verizon Broadband wireless internet. I have a hotspot and according to the coverage maps I have reviewed, it should work minimally.

Anyone have [recent] experience?

ATT & Sprint are the dominant carriers here. We do not have Verizon so you are roaming. Most people who come here are roaming at $2-$3/minute. Occasionally we have had people visit who say their plan is different and the cost is reasonable, most do not though and I don't know if their info is accurate. You should definitely check on your plan with Verizon, espcially if you are going to use that hot spot.

I have Ntelos and incur no extra charges when using my cell phone. I don't have coverage on the Coral Bay side. I have coverage a little ways past Francis Bay when headed toward Coral Bay.
