We're not too far behind you and I haven't given much thought to our trip yet. Once December 26th arrives and Christmas is over, I know I'll be much more excited. Could that be your mindset too??
More snow is forecast for our area tomorrow and I know that will help point my thoughts towards St. John!

I know exactly how you feel. Whenever we plan a spring trip to St. John I spend all winter counting the days, lurking on the forum and really getting excited about the trip. But when it gets close to our departure date, I start to have second thoughts. "Do we really need this?" "Is it worth the expense?" "Is this really a good idea?" And then we get to St. John and I think "Oh, yeah. This is DEFINITELY a good idea." So don't worry. The excitement will come back. You will have a wonderful time.

Wow, I feel better now knowing I am not alone. I was feeling the same way and I guess it is hard to look past year-end due to holidays and year-end business stress.
I have a hunch that once the ferry slows down to dock, it will all melt away.

Don't worry- common feeling, I think. I sometimes start to stress that we should be going somewhere else- what are we missing by going to STJ again? Should we be trying a new place? I start to second guess. But one look at the SpiceCam and the happy feeling that comes over me usually quells the doubt. And certainly once we arrive and my toes touch the sand just off the ferry dock, and I tear up a little because I'm so happy to be RIGHT THERE, then I know we did the right thing, again!

I hear you! I think it's due to the stress of the holidays and also getting ready for vacation. For me, I miss my dogs. They are 2 and tend to give our pet sitter a hard time at times.
I will be fine once I get there - hopefully, we'll get a chance to meet on island.
Happy holidays!

I know in my mind we really need this and things will be just fine but I just keep thinking...do we really need this and the money and all the same old worries BUT I know it will be worth it. I just have to GO and forget the rest!
