Anyone else watch a STJ episode of House Hunters last night? St. John Passion, Chez Shell and Temptress villas were featured (Temptress is now named Magic View villa). Fun episode---maybe its been discussed on this Board before.

I just read on an unnamed other forum that it was a new episode. I have saved the Into the Mystic" episode on my Tivo for about a year now---glad to have a new one to watch!

I saw it last night!
Great perspective of all 3 properties and nice video shots of the island. They made a great choice! I'll have to check and see if Magic View is on the rental market. . . happy they're living my dream~

wife watched show last night and told me about this morning. opening comment "temptress was on tv last night". this is from a woman who wouldn't know if we had spent the night at the ritz or motel 6.

must have made an impression when we stayed there in spring 05 with another couple. while the 2 masters are not equal, the lesser is still very nice, large bath, &good views. plus there is separation of about 70 ft between.

we are big fans of the great views on upper rockridge and temptress's postioning will offer sunrises and sunsets (except in summer). for old folks like us though, too many steps from parking and lot of walking between pods but that does give a lot of different privacy areas. getting some good reviews under new name.

I came here to start this thread but you beat me to it!

Those shots of STJ made my heart go pitter patter.

It's crazy to me that a couple would visit STJ only once and then decide to buy. So many of us have been visiting for years and will never be able to own a piece of the rock! Lucky them :)

It looked like they make some nice improvements to the house.

Here's the rental info:

$2575 for two in the off season is definitely high. My husband and I have always paid quite a bit less than that for the two of us in the off season, and in nicer villas.

Have to catch this-we've stayed at St. John Passion before and loved the location. It's been for sale for a long time. Got a great island vibe to it though.

My wife and I also watched the episode last night! I believe that it was the 3rd St John House Hunters we've seen. I agree, how could anyone pick a house in 1 day having only been on the Island once previously. We do think they made the right choice of the three! Chez Shell just went under contract. We looked at that property when we were on island recently. Very nice, but no pool!We will keep looking; someday we'll find something we can afford!

We saw it yesterday a.m. (we had it on TIVO)

Made me even more excited for my trip just 13 days from today.

I wish them the very best with their new home and will check out the updated rental info. I was impressed with how much they accomplished in just 4 months.

At the end of the episode, the new buyers were shown running to catch a ferry. Where was that? At Caneel? The dock looked like it was paved.
