Hi,

My name is Ellen and my husband Gary and I are the owners of Bay Rum Breeze. I've been following this forum since we first came to St John in 2005 and it's been a great help. I read the posts to find out what's going on and have also learned a lot about what villa renters like (or don't like) and have tried to incorporate those ideas into the house.

If you're wondering what my screen name means, we almost named the house Inuny (in-oo-knee)-it stands for "It's not Upstate New York" (it's snowing now here in Syracuse, NY).

Thank you again to all the posters who share their ideas, info, and the beautiful trip reports.

Ellen, we're looking forward to our stay at Bay Rum Breeze in May. I hope the crazy blonde lady on Mamey Peak is gone by that time.

I hear that everything is quiet on Mamey Peak. We'll be there in 15 days-getting away from the gray upstate NY landscape.

Seeing your post reminds me-I've got to go to Home Depot to get a clothesline (I'll put it on the bedroom deck). I think I may have some old clothespins too (so the bathing suits don't go flying off the line).

Hi Ellen and Gary,

Welcome to the Forum both as a poster and a sponsor. We appreciate you being here. You are brave, after having seen our posts for all those years, to be willing to rent a villa to us. We are after all "people our parents warned us about."

I love the photos, views, and features of your villa. I couldn't figure out where the twin-bed room was from your floor plan. I read these plans every day and I guess I take it all too literally. Is it the bedroom in the lower right corner?

We are trying to put together a group for next year. We'll let you know if we can get it together.

Hi Jim,

I don't know if we're brave or just stupid to build a house on St John, but it's over. The floor plan on the website is off a bit. There are 2 indoor bedrooms -the lower one is the one with the twin beds). The other indoor bedroom is accessed by in interior stairway. The third bedroom is separate-but accessed via the covered deck. That's where you put your friends/family that snores!

That's for your housemates to decide.
