Water current

ive read a few reviews of some high tides//riptides in STJ right now. Can u still swim in the water, or just no snorkeling? We arrive this Wed and I'm hoping to do lots of snorkeling. :) just curious! Thanks!

have no idea of the current current conditions, sorry couldn't resist, but ran into similar conditions on our last trip. NS beaches were under High surf advisories, but the SS beaches were like GLASS. Salt pond, lameshure, etc. If in doubt, don't go out.

I did not notice any thing out of the ordinary. Francis has a bit of a drop, a few inches, that causes a few very small waves, but Maho was flat as can be and Gibney had some waves but nothing that would affect even a small child.

I don't think the rip tides are like we get on the East coast......more waves on most beaches......
