Hello everyone,
Well, we have tried this before in many instances, but this time I think it just might work. We are offering a new forum only banner ad (which you no doubt see above). You can see this page for details:

http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/advertising.html

There are also some great demographics there, showing what an educated affluent bunch you are :)

We are also transitioning to separate ad systems for Caribbean and Virgin Islands On Line. Soon all new advertisers/sponsors will be on affordable monthly billing, starting at $24.95 a month. Some categories (villa agencies, hotels) will be higher.

Anyway - we think the forum banner is an amazing deal. Everything will be done online, you will get an invoice from our newer web based accounting system, and we can help create your banner. $100 for 30 days, max of 5 banners at any one time. Existing advertorial advertisers are also invited to take part in this offer of course. Thanks for your support and please feel free to spread the word.

Thanks TR! Surprised at how many views this had - with nary an inquiry! I have had so many outside requests for this lately. I think it will work this time if I give it enough rope.

Out of curiosity, how do they figure out all that demographic information?

That is from a company called Quantcast - they have some proprietary software they use. I think what they do is use a cookie and geographic IPs and then just extrapolate with their algorithm. I am sure there is a decent margin of error in there. You can read more about it here:

http://www.quantcast.com/how-we-do-it

We also got a report once from our banner network from Nielsen that had us at number 1 in demographics for all travel sites. And that included all the major household names.
