Day Three – Trunk Bay, Skinny Legs and the Mayor of Woodys

The California girls, Tom and I are the first ones up, so we enjoy our coffee and the morning sun in the pool. We decide to try Trunk again, meet the kids for lunch at Skinnys and then head to Maho. The four of us get to Trunk and though there is no snorkeling because of the riptides and currents, there is enough beach and we spend a few lovely hours in the sun.

We head up the North Shore road to Coral Bay. What a gorgeous drive!

We get to Skinny’s and the kids are there. We have Painkillers while we wait for a table and my brother and his fiancé join us. We do some shopping and have fabulous burgers and a few more painkillers. We end up whiling away more than a few hours “island style” and Maho will have to wait for another day. Most of us head to Woodys for happy hour while the Cali girls head back to the villa. While we are enjoying some libations at Woodys we see our friends from the ferry. They had just come in from their boat day and they were a riot! One of the guys tells us he is running for the mayor of Woodys and we make him buy our votes! Lots of laughs all around.

We head back to the villa and clean up, grab the California girls and head back into town to visit the Quiet Mon for a few drinks, then back to Woodys for some apps and drinks and then back to the villa.

(At this point, I believe my vision was about as blurry as this shot of Woodys!!)

I'm not sure about the tides now - but don't worry. If the first couple of beaches (Hawksnest, Trunk) look rough, just keep going until you get to Maho/Frances or head to the south side of the island.

Just jokin'.
So happy to hear about a great trip with friends & family. Just wonderful!
Soak up that sun for us land-lubbers back here at home, and thanks for the great pix.
