I signed up for the VITEMA automatic alerts recently, and I'm really surprised at how active it's been! Flood watches, high surf advisories, even a "cold front" where the temperature plummeted to 76 degrees! 76!!! And earthquake alerts almost every day!

Most of the earthquake reports have been "small" (I suppose... this coming from someone who doesn't know a richter scale from a rectal thermometer...) 2.0 types, but there have been three reports of 4.0 - 4.6 earthquakes within the past couple of hours tonight!

Anyone on island feel those?

St. Croix felt a 4.2 quake this evening, but we didn't notice it here on St. John. It is normal to have minor quakes every few days, ones we can feel every 3 months or so. Nothing destructive since 1867, so we're probably way overdue.
