Hi all. I wanted to do a little survey of how you keep your frozen drinks frozen while on the beach. Rum is very transport friendly... it doesn't care where you take it and its always happy. Ice on the other hand is a little more fickle. I have tried different things when mixing fruit and ice and rum and taking it along for the afternoon(morning)to the beach. Cooler full of ice with drinks in sealable baggies. Jugs made for cold stuff. I want my rum and my mixers to be happy together. Plus i just wanted to see my ticker one more time. AHHH i cant wait... 8)

it won't stay frozen really, but if you make a gallon of rum punch (rum included) and put it in the freezer over night, it will be all slushy and yummy on the beach

X beat me to the suggestion. We use those Life is Good large Nalgene bottles. We fill them up the night before and stick them in the freezer. That way they stay pretty cold until we start drinking 8)

Here's what you need, the drill blender. Take a cordless drill, your drill blender, a cooler of ice, bottle of rum, and mixers. Problems will melt away.

I've seen MrsB sipping happily from her 64 oz Bubba Keg!

My approach (if I can remember that far back) is to freeze a bottle of Cruzan Black Strap rum, chill a six pack of Barrit's Ginger Beer and throw a well frozen bag of ice in the soft cooler. My ladies have discovered Sprite mixed with the Cruzan flavored rums too. Add a bag of sliced limes and life is good.

Cheers, RickG

I always wondered about freezing fruity drinks with the rum already in them..it doesn't change anything? I thought I had read somewhere that it doesn't freeze completely or something? Ok, anyways..going to try the mix and freeze beforehand method..Thanks guys...
