Andante By The Sea Trip Report part 2

Andante is located high above Harts bay with a nice southerly tradewind which helped keep the mosquitos away however those nasty no-seeums had a field day with my wife Cindy. I found they did not like my sun block. Andante is the Villa on the left with the blue roof, the Villa on the right is Oceanport, which was having its roof renovated while we were there. It was amazing watching the workers on the roof while the winds were blowing.

The trail from the villa down to Harts Bay was very well manicured and an easy trail however the trek back up was more of a challenge mainly due to the heat but well worth the effort. I had the beach all to myself so the "soul searching" was awesome, some of my best business decision making has come on the beaches of STJ.

The waters were pristine and the snorkeling was fantastic, a little challenging due to the surf however I have never seen so many sea urchins, which were black with a red center, sorry no pics, still a novice with photography. The brain corals were very large and the different types of tropical fish were amazing. We also had our resident stingray visit almost every afternoon just cruising the shoreline in about two feet of water.

This picture of Ditleff point shows the progress of what looks like a large villa that is under construction.

Also not sure of what the name of this villa with the blue top is but it is beautiful, we could see two swimming pools one on each level and a large spa on the right hand side. If anyone knows the name I would like to look into it.

Well another fabulous day on STJ with a perfect ending.

That is Mistral with the blue roof. Beautiful villa where we got married in 2002 then they added a second pool etc. I think it may be for sale if you are interested!

The house with the blue roof that you are interested in is Villa Mistral.

I really enjoyed your pictures. We stayed on Hart Bay for our first trip--there were only seven houses off the bay then. Things have really changed!

Your trip and pictures are very enjoyable - Thank You so much for taking the time to post them ! - looking at the verdant hillsides of STJ overlay-ed with those beautiful rental villas and the extraordinary new construction on Dileff Point makes me so proud to have been a long time Virgin Island resident. Those "astute Caribbean real estate investors with vision" who are now taking part in their "upscale lifestyle" should be even prouder of course

Hello Bert its a simple Canon Powershot E8 Digital camera relatively inexpensive but takes fairly decent pictures.
