Wendy was patient and explained the rules, operations, and how to have fun. Steve, Leslie, Mrs Random and I headed out on the SS Calypso for uncharted waters. First stop was Castaway Beach where we yelled and waved to our forum friends. Then off to Waterlemon and the search for the elusive Spotted Eagle Ray. 1 hour 30 min later... Houston, the Eagle has landed!!! The excitment was contagious.

Off to Whistling Cay through the sea swell waves,whitecaps and chop. We moored off in a howling gale, looked about, then cut our losses and headed for Henley Cay. GREAT DIVE, period. Back to the SS Calypso where we snacked, chatted and had a splendid afternoon. Finished with a quick swim to Salomon.

Wendy checked us in and we headed to the BB for cold beverages.

Better pix of the Ray will be posted...I dove until my ears popped then I squeezed the shutter.

Cool. I think the spotted eagle ray is my favorite sea creature. I can never get enough.

I have yet to see a spotted eagle ray. You are so lucky!!

Sounds like a really fun day. We are trying to rally the troops for the Beach Bar Sunday at 5:00.

Captain and First Mate Random were awesome!

BTW, there was a second, although undocumented by photography, sighting of said creature, in the depths off of Salomon...

As we motored past, they looked like a rag-tag mob of castaways on the tip of Denis. They were still there in the afternoon. Someone yelled "Woody's at 3!", so there was hope they could find their way back.
