Look at this map <a href="

You should be on the Orange route (Route 30, turns into 32 at the right hand turn at Nadir) , going along the south shore road towards Redhook. The Food Center is located in about G 17/18 - it will be on your left heading to Redhook - hard to miss. It is not far past Pirate's Cover Marina - which will be on your right - look for this building as a landmark:

There may be one more curve to go around from there... my memory is a little foggy all of sudden...

Just wanted to say that on the "other" VI forum, it was mentioned by a few posters that Food Center was getting bad. Like the meat was green etc. Don't know, as I have yet to take my first trip to STT, but CostULess was supposed to be better. and of course Marina Market (but smaller) in Red Hook. Just thought I'd mention it as it was just discussed a couple weeks ago. Others may disagree. comments?

We buy our basic provisions at the Food Center (water, soda, beer, etc.) and get our meats and fish at the Marina Market.

We have reservations about buying meat/fish/dairy on STT because we don't want things to spoil if we have to wait for the car barge.
WHAT ABOUT PRODUCE(lettuce/fruit/veggies) at the Food Center? Or, would you recommend somewhere else?
My husband just wants to make one stop.
Thanks!

Here is a link to check out Bluwater's comments about Food Center. The thread was started like, a year ago, but Bluwater then updates her comments and also there are directions to Cost-U-Less. Hope this helps.
