Good Afternoon All!

Looking to go for a dive this Dec when on STJ. I have only found 6Paq, and Low Key Watersports.

Any others? Has anyone dove with either of these shops?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

We dove with 6-paq this past June. Coliet is great! We had the whole boat to ourselves.

There is a dive shop at the Westin and I liked it.

We've used Low Key a couple of times and found them to be a very good operation. STJ diving is beautiful. Have a good trip.

Low Key has worked well for us as well. My son did his open-water with them.

Our dive shop on STJ is Low Key. We took our open water, underwater naturalist and advance open water from them. Although not perfect, they are, FOR US, the best operation. When we were looking for a dive shop to use a couple of years ago, we heard the full spectrum of comments on every shop. Some would call a particular shop idiots and others would call the same shop miricle workers. It really depends on what you need. If you like a boat where you do a backward roll into the water and climb over the side to get back in, you will want to use 6-Pac. If you like to enter the water from a deck using a giant stride and need a ladder to get out of the water, Low Key would be your choice.

There are a lot of variables. Look at their web sites, call them and ask questions and consider the comments you receive here to guide you. You may want to schdule a dive with each one and see if you like one more than the others.

We have gone out with both. We really liked Collette with 6pak. She was really knowlageable, worked with us on our weighting, took us to great places (Low Key took us to the same two places on both of our trips)( in and out), and has a couple of cool full day trips. Sure you are on a smaller boat and do a back roll entry, but she does have a ladder. The deal is you get great personal service. Sure it is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Want a "head boat" or personal service. It is a choice you need to make. Low Key was fine for a first time out (we went with our inlaws who only snorkel), they were less money and it was a fine experience. We loved our sweet little dive master. But for a more interesting and informative dive, 6pak was great.
