Road to/past Lameshur Bay

I was looking at
Google Maps and it appears that the road one takes to Lameshur Bay, Route 107, continues north at Little Lameshur and eventually connects to Route 108 which can then be taken northwest to Centerline.
Now I have have snorkeled Lameshur but haven't ventured any further down the road. From all accounts I've read people always seem to approach Little Lameshur from the east as opposed to the north so I was wondering if the road shown on the map is real or not, and if it is what condition it's in.
Thanks.

Doesn't exist. Turn off the labeling on google maps and you can see that it looks like more of a remnant of a trail, than a road you could drive on.
The national park map shows the route as the bordeaux mountain trail.

We have approached Lameshur from Salt Pond several times. We drove past Little Lameshur and it seemed that the road dead ends a short distance west of LS.

It's only maintained up to the ranger's house. After that, bring a machete and some chaps!

Was just there and there definitely isn't a road that keeps going. The road just to get to Lameshur has taken a beating...its pretty rough but do-able (only if you have a SUV type car). They are slowly paving the whole road....loved how they paved around a phone pole in the left travel lane!

On our first trip to StJ we visited Little Lamshur. The pavement stopped before you crossed the ridge. The cut through on top of the ridge was narrow and less than two jeeps wide. It was rutted and steep. It rained while we were at Lamshur. My wife got out of the jeep and walked to the top for two reasons. One, she was going to let me know if anyone was approaching from the East(?) and Two, she was afraid that we were going to end up sliding off the road. The last time we visited Little Lamshur I was amazed at the progress. Pavement most of the way to the end. Only one stretch of dirt which was a mud puddle. Great improvements since our first trip.
The road does not continue much past Little Lamshur.
