Just thought I would post this as general information.

I submitted our son's passport renewal at the local county prothonatary's office on Friday Sept 3. She said she would mail it out that day.

My check cleared on Tuesday Sept 7

We received his new passport today Sept 16

thanks! that is very reassuring as we just renewed our girls' passports!

I found this to be one office of government that was actually great to deal with. When we first applied, the photographer at the post office switched my sons' photos, so the wrong info. was with the wrong photo. I called the passport office and spoke with a very helpful man who expedited the switch for us. The post office even paid the return postage!
