Does anyone know if the small store at Josephine's is open regularly during the off season?

What kinds of things does Josephine sell exactly? Is it worth the trip to buy produce there? I've never tried this, but I do have to admit that most of the produce in the grocery stores are pretty sad most of the time.

I too am curios about Josephine's. Have been calling them, with no luck, to see if they will put together a basket as a birthday gift for someone on Island. I know she has lots of greens, but what other veggies and any fruits? Web sites don't show pictures or a list of what's available. Anyone know?

They were open 7 days this past May & June. I don't know their summer/fall schedule. You can call: 340-693-5579 (Coral Bay Garden Center). They might have been busy. Josephine does landscaping for villas on St. John and I'd heard that they were working overtime after Earl.
The place is not exactly a market where you see a variety of vegetables displayed. They have a refrigerator or two, in which they keep most of their produce. What they have depends on the day. Besides salad greens, we've gotten beans and sprouts. We've wanted some tomatoes but have never had luck going there on the right day.
You can get her produce at Starfish also. It costs more but I'm not sure if it's worth driving all the way from Cruz Bay just to go to Josephine's. If you are in Coral Bay, it's worth dropping by. We always buy from her and have found that her produce keeps fresh for a long time in the fridge.

Thanks Pickle! We'll have to stop in when we're on that side of the island just to see what she's got.
