I came over here to add my comments to the 9/11 thread and there wasn't one...now there is.

Happy 9/11 to all those who share in the vision of freedom and peace! My respect goes out to all those who lost loved ones on that day. America changed that day and became stronger.

I took this photo the next day under our new flag...

Enjoy this beautiful song performed as a tribute to the heroes of 9/11--

It is hard to believe it has been 9 years - it seems like yesterday that we stood horror-struck watching the television - thanks for the thread - d

There are some interesting stories in this thread, some from New Yorkers who were there...

Such a pivitol event for America, it really brought alot of people closer.

One of the pics in the link Lex posted impacted me...a gathering of many of the children who lost a parent or parents in the attack...so sad...bless them.

Hard to believe it's been 9 years. I still vividly remember that day. It was heartbreaking and horrifying. Will NOT forget! Thanks for the thread.....

I have to say that "happy" is not an emotion I feel on 9/11. The images and emotions of that day continue to bring me to tears. I am still jaw-droppingly horrified by those events, and I know we all hold in our hearts the families of the victims and our military who are still fighting today.

Thanks, Sherb.
I tried not to cry this year. No dice.
