Sorry if this has been already discussed, but wondering how the STJ beaches fared, and their condition a week after Earl?

Read somewhere Francis and Maho took a pretty good hit.

In addition to the beach conditions, what happens to the coral in the shallows that were pounded so hard by the waves. If the poor little dinghy dock got ripped up like it did I can only imagine the coral must be damaged as well. Does it?

It will take a week for beaches to look better - all are erroded by huge waves.
Check out picture of Chocolate Hole.

We were on St. John before, during and after Earl. We went to Hawksnest, Cinnamon & Truck Bay beaches. They were all in excellent shape. On Frinday the 3rd the visibility at Hawksnest was at least 20'(good but the normal 40'+) and the coral was in very good shape. There was some broken Elkhorn coral but not much. My friend & I actually thought the coral was in as good as shape as we've seen in several years.
