Hey everyone! Im looking for some large wall decor for my living room. Do any of you have or know where I can get some great large format (18x36 or so) pictures/framed posters of St. John? Mostly interested in aerial and lanscapes. Just something to get be from one vacation to the next!

Id use one of my own vacation pictures (size 2592 x 1944), but flikr recommended that I do not blow it up that much because it may not turn out well. Bummer....

I commissioned a watercolor painting of one of our favorite beaches – Salomon. I'm technologically challenged so I can't seem to post images, but I added it to the gallery on this site. I'm thrilled with it, and it's a nice reminder in between St. John "fixes." If you're interested in more details, PM me.

I was in an art type place this past Sunday and we came across the most amazing stretched canvas pictures/paintings by a man named Steve Vaughn.

I'm not sure of the businessname but it has the word "Frame" in it. It's a little frame shop in the lumberyard. We have a large photo of the shot out of the window of the ruin at little lameshur - looking out onto the beach. It's BIG - and I get lots of compliments on it. They had several nice photo's and not too expensive either. Had it shipped home then had it framed.

Don't always go by what flikr says can be done. A local print or framing shop might be able to work some magic and make your print work in a larger size. Most large format print/poster printers use a larger dot size, so you can blow things up with a minimal image quality loss. There is also a software program that does the same thing. I've managed to get some nice big prints out of my 6mp nikon from the local costco as well. You might have some 'grain' or pixelization. but if it's an image you took, that you love. It might be worth a shot.

That illustration that buffalo gal commissioned is really nice, but the original is much better if I do say so myself!
