Which do you recommend?
It'll be in October, and we might be looking for a road trip for my birthday. We've been blessed with an open window of timeshares for a week, and need some advice.
Thanks, and always

Thanks!
Virginia, of course!
I'm not really sure what's available, the website is
www.rci.com .
I have no idea where/what to look for, hoping for some type of cottage situation, but doesn't seem likely. Heck, I don't even know if the park(s) will be open, looks like we've got the 1st or 2nd week of October as our option.
Thanks for any help!

Jim let me do a little research and I'll get back to ya! I think the park is open on weekends only in October. BUT there is so much to do in the area. Day trips to the mountains or Virginia Beach are great that time of year. And if you've never visited Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, or Yorktown they are a good history fun time. And if you'd like we'd love to have you guys over!
Give me today and I'll PM you

Hi Jim,
RCI has a search function that should help (haven't used it in awhile), but you should be able to put in your dates and a region; it will return available timeshares.
You will need the username/pwd of the RCI member.
I saw you looking at St. John - I've never seen any openings for the St. John timeshares - did you have any luck? I'd say grab it if you did; especially this close to departure.
Good luck.

Thanks Jan!
Jaysea-
Toying with SunsetRidge Villas idea on STJ. We have the password & info for RCI, but we have yet to check out availabilities & airfare.
That's what I'm (not so ) secretly hoping for, just depends on the cost as we didn't really take time to save for a vaca to STJ on such short notice.
Williamsburg, Va. or Niagara Falls are two places that we've never been to, so we're looking into those, too.
Maybe the Bahamas; airfare is probably cheaper than STT. ...

I vote Busch Gardens. Will be nice that time of year, but the park is open only Fri-Sun. I'm actually going in late October after I get back from St. John
They have all the spooky Halloween stuff going on.

We stayed on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and enjoyed it.

Jim - We own at Sunset Ridge - so if you're leaning that way and have any more questions that need answering, let me know. I'd be happy to help out.

Well, it looks like Sunset Ridge is no longer an option- no availabilities...
Maybe Bluebeards Castle on STT if the airfare comes down...
Niagara Falls doesn't really have anything within 3 hrs. of the falls, so looks like that's out, too.
The bahamas airfare is just as much, if not more expensive than STT., who would have guessed that?
So far Busch gardens in Virginia is running away with this here search.
Jan, Mike, and Leslieeliz-
Maybe we can figure something out as far as a Halloween get-together?!
Keep it in mind, and thanks for all of the help-

Busch Gardens is the winner!
(I know you were all stressed out about it...

)
My Sweet Amy & I chose the Wyndham Kingsgate in Williamsburg over Halloween.
Hope to meet up with some of you folks while we're in town.
Either way it'll be fun & different.
Thanks for the help, and always

Jim, if you have any questions-I grew up in Williamsburg and my parents still live there.
I would have given you advice on the timeshares but they weren't there when I lived there! I looked them up and didn't even know they were there. It has really grown up alot.
You picked a nice time of year to visit. It won't be so hot or as filled with tourists.

Okay, you savvy Virginia forumites,
I need help!
We're looking to not only enjoy Williamsburg, but hopefully Jamestown, and Yorktown as well.
We'd love to learn about the way we all got blessed enough to live here; through the blood, sweat, and tears of our forefathers.
ANY help as far as different types of tours is appreciated.
My only request is that your info comes from personal experience.
Thanks in advance, and always
