Through lurking, that is!

Sure, I've posted a couple of times now and again, but today I'm vowing to become an active participant in the wonderful and helpful online community.

My love affair with St. John began back in 2007 when my wife (then girlfriend) decided that we wanted a destination wedding. After much research, it was obvious St. John was exactly what we were looking for. So, in 2008 we tied the knot to each other and to that magnificient rock that all of us (or most of us) now treasure.

Fast forward to today, we're planning our third trip for May '11, and doing things a bit different this time. First and foremost, we're straying from the comfort zone of our usual Chocolate Hole villa and venturing out to Ditleff Point for seven nights at Kaleidoscope. Judging from the pictures and reviews, I truly believe we're in for a real treat.

Of course, to justify such a large house my wife and I decided that we needed to bring along some friends to share this experience with. We've got two island first-timers, a couple of one-timers, and a couple that is very familiar with the BVIs, but making their first trip to St. John. I'm really looking forward to playing a little bit of tour guide this time, and will definitely be looking to you guys for more group friendly activities and ideas.

Anyway, thanks to everyone here for their valuable insight and opinions and thank you for making my past, present, and future visits to St. John memories that mean the world to me!

See ya around...

Have you had the chance to read RickG's guide to group travel? It really hits the mark as far as some of the dos and don'ts when planning and executing group travel - particularly to STJ.

Welcome out of lurkdom!

Welcome!!

No doubt you will put together a fun trip for everyone.

Bottom line is that when you've got good friends in a good place you've got a recipe for good times!

Sounds familiar, maybe I read it a while ago...any suggestion on the best way to find it again? I've got his "New St. John Visitor Information - 2006 " still bookmarked and ready for reference.
