Our flight from RDU was cancelled. We're booked to leave here at 2:00 today, connect to a 6:00 out of ATL and arrive at STT at 10:00.

We have luggage.

I don't think we'll make the midnight ferry, will we?

That said, where would you stay tonight? Where on STT? What's reasonably priced?

Everyone always recommends Ronnie's Crystal Palace. I don't know where it is, but that seems to be a favorite and sounds google-able.
Hang in there...I'm sure this will work out! Breathe... And then make some phone calls!

I used Best Western Emerald Beach, just down the road from the airport, grab a cab you will be there in five minutes. Nice bar, nice pool, nice little beach front. 800-233-4936

I'm soooo sorry :(

OK, I believe that is the only flight arriving at that time - I also have arrived at 10pm and made the midnight ferry no problem - if you land on time you will be in a txi no later than 10:30 to 10:40 (they are actually pretty quick getting luggage out at that time of night as they want to get home) so will be at Red Hook, depending on number of stops, probably a little after 11pm, probably 11:15pm to 11:35pm so no problem getting the last ferry) but if you want to stay on STT give Ronnie a call at the Crystal Palace at (340) 777-2277 or if you want to be at the airport for convenience try the Best Western Emerald Beach - clean and OK for one night.

Good luck and see ya tomorrow :)

I think we're set.

We land at 10. I just spoke to the water taxi folks...my new heroes.

They set us up with Christopher's to get to Red Hook. We'll be able to get a boat to St John from there.

It's going to cost slightly more than a room at the Best Western, but where would you rather sleep tonight? A hotel near the airport or at your villa?

sailorgirl gets the gold star today. Thank you for suggesting that option. My head is less than clear right now, and you balanced me.

we always use the water taxi - they load your luggage and off you go - on St. John in no time - no waiting, no crowds!! Christopher is great too! Glad your problem was solved so quickly, relax and enjoy!! :D

pipanale,

PMFJI, may I ask a silly question? Why not take the water taxi to STJ rather than RH?

Sapphirecat, they are taking Christophers taxi to Red Hook and then the private water taxi from RH to STJ (the water taxi can only pick up at RH) :)
