Casa de Sonadores or Indigo

Our group of three couples is planning a trip for next year. Some of the group like Casa de Sonadores and some like Indigo. The rate is just a little bit higher at Casa. One perk is that Casa has a hot tub. Both have AC and both have sunset views.

Does anyone have an opinion about why we might like one more than the other (privacy, location, furnishings, three equal bedrooms, etc.)?

Thanks.

Gosh, they are both beautiful and I would love to stay in either one! But I like Casa de Sonadores better for the equal king bedrooms, the circular kitchen and the movie theatre.....I like that the outdoor dining table is under roof at Indigo and I like the living room furniture at Indigo better.

The bedrooms at Casa de Sonadores are killer. I like the interior stairway also and LOTs of parking. It's the nicest house we've staying in on STJ.

Cheers, RickG

Casa de Sonadores is right at the entrance of Virgin Grand Estates, so it might not be super private. When it was under construction you could see the pool from the road, I'm not sure if that has changed or not.

jdw--As you know we loved Indigo. Having said that, Casa de Sonadores looks gorgeous and has gotten very good reviews. I do believe the bedrooms will be larger at Casa, even though the bedrooms at Indigo are very nice. Casa is higher up and has a more distant view of the water---the view at Indigo has a more immediate sense of the water, if that matters to you. Virgin Grand Estates is a bit further drive from town than houses on Great Cruz Bay Road (such as Indigo). Two great choices---take your pick.

We stayed at Casa in February. It is a very nice house. The trees shield it from the road but we (in the downstairs bedroom) could hear morning road noise a bit. It didn't bother us as we are early risers.

Thanks everyone.

PA Girl - How lucky for you that you were in St. John in February and then again this summer for your anniversary trip!!

Yes, I know, very lucky! I was blessed to marry a man who likes to travel as much as I do.
