Brief newbie trip report - July 3-10 at Cloud Nine Villa

My girlfriend and I spent July 3-10 at Cloud Nine villa on St John. It was the first visit to St John for both of us, though she's been around the Caribbean a few times and I have visited the BVI 10 times since 1995.
We thoroughly enjoyed the island, the villa, the beaches, Festival, the food, basically everything that we experienced. Cloud Nine was PERFECT for our needs. Great A/C when needed, very versatile outdoor seating options, and an amazingly comfortable bedroom. We spent almost all of our time outdoors, we never turned on the television or even sat in the living or dining room.
Our days consisted of a light breakfast under the gazebo at Cloud Nine, packing a cooler then heading to explore whatever beaches seemed of interest. We either packed a lunch to go, or stopped off for lunch somewhere on the way back to the villa in early afternoon.
Afternoons were spent poolside, enjoying the privacy and sunshine as the sun eased toward the horizon. Drinks and munchies while the sun set, then either out to dinner or cooking in. We enjoyed roti at the Festival village one night, two excellent dinners at Morgan's Mango including a 2 pound lobster on Tuesday.
The highlight meal was our last night, when we went to P&P to have stewed conch, shrimp fritters, roti, and all the fixin's. Incredible local food from the friendliest people we encountered all week.
Our Jeep from C&C worked flawlessly all week as we explored most of the beaches except for those down East End road. Francis Bay became our favorite, and our last day we spend in the company of at least 10 turtles as they fed on the seagrass at the east end of the bay.
Weather was great overall. We had a wave pass through late Monday that brought some rain and clouds. The mosquitos were bad early in the week, but seemed to ease up as the days passed. The last 2 afternoons were hot with little breeze, but that just made the pool all that more comfortable for floating and relaxing.
In summary, we're hooked. We will be back. Soon.
