Where is the best place to buy wine on STJ and how do the prices run?

generally speaking starfish gourmet has a great selection--you will be spending a primo amount though--everywhere wine tends to be more expensive on STJ (i'd say 20-50 % more? depending on the bottle?--maybe 50 is a bit high--) however it's quirky--i have noteced that you can get a fairly good deal (i think it was 49?) on veuve cliquot at Lily's market in coral bay --the same bottle would run you almost double at starfish--

I've been told that Pine Peace Market generally offers the best prices on liquor, not sure about wine.

Starfish Gourmet has the best selection but expect to pay about around $5-10 more a bottle than you would at home. That said if you hunt around there are some reasonable choices. Dolphin's new market--I forget what it is called--has a lot of wine but last time I was in there they had not put any prices on it yet. John and I have never found anything we wanted at Lilly's or the older Dolphin. I will be wine shopping on Saturday and can give more accurate prices then.

Liquor has always been cheaper than wine on STJ -- and I think the VI Government wants to keep it that way.
We just switch to liquor and beer on vacay and save the wine for home

Past the gas station, right before Jacobs Ladder. On the way to the Westin from Cruz Bay-- it's on the left right after you pass the basketball courts (which are on the right).
Doesn't look like much from the outside but great liquor prices and they are always pretty well stocked. Lots of locals shop there-- so that should tell you alot about the prices
Just ask anyone local they will tell you where it is.
