I was able to talk my husband, the hermit, into going to St. John for our 5th anniversary next June! He gave me one one stipulation... the villa MUST be secluded (he has an obsession with drinking his morning coffee in the buff). I've been to St. John (and left the hermit at home)but have only stayed at Gallows so I'm at a loss for villa ideas. We only need 1 bedroom and while a pool and hot tub are nice, they're not mandatory. Location doesn't matter as long as there's a water view and it's somewhat close to the North shore beaches. AC is a must and we'd like to stay under $2,000 for the week. You guys are the best!

Tarzan no need loin cloth 8)

. . . and now back to the subject of secluded villas.
I have heard Honeymoon Cottage is secluded and close to Francis and Maho.
We stayed at Sea Spirit a few years ago and it is super secluded but on the south side by Salt Pond. Killer views out on the point.
Sherban's villa map is an awesome resource to see the villa locations:

Good Luck!

Sorry, I don't dare take the camera out when enjoying the seculsion.

Edited to add: Bayview is located just a walk from the smoothie stand and the drive to the North Shore is about 5 minutes or less down the hill.

Wow. That was something else.

I am still thinking on the villas. My brother and sister-in-law looked at STJ for their honeymoon, and I got some great ideas then. Let me go see if I still have that list.

Sea spirit is extremely remote and secluded. Beautiful views, but nowhere near north shore. I believe is is even listed as a clothing optional villa. Honeymoon cottage is also listed as such, and is beautifully located just above Frances bay. We have stayed there twice and loved it. We are NOT clothing optional. And, the neighbors have some jack russell terriers who were always escaping and they were chasing the dogs down several times a day through our property. Not a problem for us. Delightful little dogs, delightful neighbors. I'm told she is some big time famous model. Who knows. I'm just saying Clothing Optional would only be if you don't mind sharing it all with the neighbor when she runs through.
