I can't imagine traveling to STJ without consulting the experts in this forum! Thank you so much!
One more question(for now!)
Any recommendations for a sunset sail or 1/2 day sail that leaves out of the Cruz Bay area, which is where we are staying?

I would highly recoomend the Calypso catamaran. We actually charted the boat for our wedding ceremony two years ago and you couldn't ask for a nicer group of people to captain

Try Capt. Phil on the Wayward Sailor.
We have done the full day, half day, and Jost sails with him and have enjoyed all. He only takes 6 passengers at a time.

My suggestion Trisel III, no much on frills but she goes like stink. Depends on what your looking for, creature comforts or fast sailing

I know the request for suggestions on sunset cruises/ 1/2 snorkle trips was made a few days ago, but I thought I would give my two cents.
We did the full day snorkle / sail with Catain Doug on the Gypsie Spirit. We booked through LowKey, but I believe they have their own web site. "Hands on Sailing". We had a great time. They will take up to 6 people, but we were lucky enough to be the only guests that day. It was the best snorkling of the whole 2 week trip! And once the wind really fills the sails, Captn Doug really starts to shine. I would do it again in a heart beat.
