Bongo Bongo in December

I am curious as to how hot the great room gets in December. Would love to hear from someone who has stayed there in December.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'd say it depends on who is staying there. I heard when Ruth and Ron were there, it got pretty hot.jdw wrote:I am curious as to how hot the great room gets in December.
We stayed there in early Oct. but I'm not sure what Dec. has to do with it. What are you thinking that perhaps the sun might be in a different location?jdw wrote:I am curious as to how hot the great room gets in December. Would love to hear from someone who has stayed there in December.

I've heard that in the summer months the great room can be terribly hot. I am thinking that in December it may not get as hot because the weather outside is cooler.mbw1024 wrote:We stayed there in early Oct. but I'm not sure what Dec. has to do with it. Thanks so much Ruth - exactly the details that I wanted to hear!StJohnRuth wrote:jdw,
We stayed at Bongo Bongo in June. It was really the hottest when VickiH and Matt were visiting us because they are one hot couple!
Seriously, though, I guess you could say the great room was hot for an hour or two before sunset, but it wasn't a big factor for us because we were outside on the covered verandas almost all of the time at that hour. All the houses that I have stayed in with that fabulous sunset view are warm by late afternoon, but the outside spaces at Bongo Bongo have a great deal more cover and shade than others I have stayed at.
In December, there should be nice breezes and the sun will set earlier. At that time of the year the sunset view should be front and center and quite lovely from the verandas. (Take lots of photos for us and share later, please.)
