Zozos???

A friend of mine is asking for a nice place for dinner for her daughter and son in law. They will be staying at the Blue Bitch in August.

I know Zozos is recommended on this forum alot, but here's a couple other questions.

1. Anyplace else that would be nice? They like seafood.

2. Is Zozo's in Cruz Bay? Walking distance?

The couple is in their early thirties, it's their anniversary and something romantic would be nice.

Thanks!

Zozo's is in the Gallows Point resort. It is a really good restaurant. High quality food and service. It's Italian, but not Italian as in pasta and sauce. I've had some great seafood there. I'd highly recommend it as a place for an anniversary. I also like Asolare - great views. Some people like La Tapa a lot, but I am not crazy about it's location for a romantic dinner, as it is smack in the middle of Cruz Bay.

Here's the website: http://www.zozos.net/

Zozo's is perfect for an anniversary. Come early and visit the bar with a great view of the sunset. Try to get seating by the railing. Food and service is some of the best. Calimari for appetizer and osso bucco are my favorites.

The mahi mahi with polenta goat cheese croutons and arugula salad is really delicious at Zozos. i get it almost every time. John had a grouper with lobster saffron sauce there last month that he just loved. The location is romantic and the service is excellent.

They have free valet parking also, if they are driving.

I printed out their menu and handed it over to them.

Now...does anybody know how you can get a gift certificate from Zozos?

How to get a gift certificate? Call them, of course! If you know where they are staying, you can probably arrange to have it delivered, or the villa rep people will pick it up and leave it at their place. That's a nice surprise.

My parents called them and got us a gift certificate for Christmas. The restaurant told them that they don't really mail the certificates out, and they would give it to us the next time we came in. We used it last month...we didn't have to ask for it, they just brought it to our table at the beginning of the meal. Gift certificates island style! :D

I would highly recommend Zozo's. We had our rehearsal dinner there a couple of weeks ago with just 4 of us. We reserved the 5:30 seating and had a couple of drinks watching the sunset. Our server, Mark, was amazing. Every question we had or request we made was always responded with 'My pleasure'. It was not terribly expensive but well worth every penny spent. Enjoy !!

Have tried ZoZo's 3 times. The first, at its old location, and we loved the food and atmosphere. The second time was right after they moved to the Gallow's Point location and we were very disappointed with our food. After reading some of the posts as to how this was the best restaurant we decided to give it a try again this past February. We have never been to a restaurant that really couldn't care less about its customers. Our waiter was taking our order and looking around the room at the same time therfore we had to repeat ourselves over and over. The same happened when a gentleman was taking our wine order. No personal touches here and not the least bit romantic. Constant flow of staff moving everywhere and yelling to each other to clear off tables and to hurry up to set up tables. We have never seen such chaos in a restaurant and will never return. You want romantic and great food go to Rhumblines. We have been extremely pleased there on numerous occasions.

It used to be where Hind's is located, across from the school and ballfield.

If ZoZO's and you sit at bar for sunset, Don't forget your sunglasses....If it's overcast or raining and there won't be a good sunset
. I second Rumbline's.....I think Rumblines food trumps zozo's.
