Hi everyone, THis is my first post but I have been lurking off and on for a while. My husband told me about this board...he posts occasionally but lurks all the time. We got back from 7 days at La Bella Vita on Sat...amazing villa. Highlights from the trip were our day on the water with John from Palm Tree Charters and Ted from Ted's Supper Club cooked dinner for us one night in our villa. Amazing trip coordinated by my husband. This was our 3rd stay on STJ. Re-entry was so hard...so much so that we are booked again for August. Post vacation depression is now gone. At any rate in Aug we are staying in coral bay. Cannot wait to get back! Looking forward to exchanging STJ info with all!

Glad you had a great trip! Can you tell a little more about the dinner that Ted cooked for you? What did you have and about how much was the cost? We are thinking of doing that too when we come down. Thanks

Welcome!
Many of us have always maintained that the best cure for the STJ blues is booking a trip back!

thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Sara-J, Ted cooked us a 4 course dinner. He actually cooked for 4 of us and my husband selected the menu in advance as a surprise for us.
We had Pan-Fried Tuna dumplings & Foccasia (sp) as an appetizer and then Course 1: pan-seared scallops & roasted chicken emperiams Course 2: field green salad with prosciutto and parm. Course 3: 2 of us had potato wrapped mahi with roasted asparagus and the other two had oven roasted fillet of beef with pototoe mushroom hash and asparagus/prosciutto bundles with tomato bacon marmalade. Course 4: Desert was almond lace cookie napolean with fresh berries and white chocolate mousse and chocolate molten cake with fresh marinated berries. It was an amazing dinner....around 3 hours. It was around $500 including tip. Worth every penny
