that's an incredible price, we're trying to get Boston/San Juan round trips for our surf vacation for 12/22 to 1/2 and they're over $1000....very nasty.

If we didn't have to align with kids vacations, this whole vacation stuff would be significantly cheaper.

Dirt cheap prices from STL. Just got married on STJ this past Feb. Heading back down Dec 8-15. Total with taxes, 261 per person, round trip.

I much prefer Delta over AA, as I always get delayed going through Miami. Smooth trip through Atlanta...

Do you think we can find cheap lodging deals during this time?

@stltimmy- I know for a fact you can. I was researching villas on VRBO and found some really modestly priced ones. Then of course it seems that many rental co's are offering good deals.

I WOULD recommend Sailview-- but I KNOW FOR A FACT that they are ALLLLLLL booked up with forumites (yours truly included)

I wish you wouldn't have shown me this...they are only $400 from New Orleans too...

I've invited a select group of friends that have never been to STJ to join us in late October/early November.

So far the only ones that seem interested and able live in the DC area.

I did a search for them and found $221 RT from DCA-STT!

I had to pay $267 for our MIA-STT tickets and we'll have to drive three hours to and from Miami to take advantage of those!

Thanks to a tip from Pia, I found tickets out of DEN for ~$250 for Feb. 2011 dates. Might just make up for those in-season rental prices for some folks.

I hear ya. Our son is still young but it is work that restricts our travel dates.

That fare Flip found is so cheap, we paid just under $600 for our upcoming late June trip. I hated to pull the trigger but the dates and times were as good as we were going to get.

Flip - are you thinking of coming down during that time period? It could turn out to be a forum-tastic time in Coral Bay. Just sayin...
