Has anyone stayed at Grandview?

Hi all!
I love these forums, and have finally signed up. Part of the reason is that we (DW and I) are planing our first trip to STJ where it was not just a cruiseship stop. We were looking at Grandview, because it looked nice, the price was decent, and it is available (we are looking at some June dates - yes, we tend to plan trips last minute).
Has anyone any experience or knowledge of Grandview? I checked the reviews, but there was nothing current - ditto with a search of posts. Is there someplace else I should check out? Any help would be gratefully accepted!
Keep Smiling!!!

Thanks for the welcome! People on the forums definitely seem to be quite friendly - obviously, the islands attract friendly people! We are definitely looking forward to the trip, once we get the details ironed out!
Keep Smiling!!!

Thanks for the welcome! The tag comes from a Buffett song. Eventually, I will have a signature that is also a variation on one of his themes.
Now, if I could get Buffett himself to show up when we were there to sing.....

Timethief,
Now that there is funny. Here's why.
Grandview is next to Seagrass Cottage and looks down on the Westin. We have stayed at Seagrass Cottage many times and really love it. We are also friends with the owners. (I have never stayed at Grandview, but have met the owners and they are very nice also.)
A few years back, Jimmy Buffet gave a top-secret concert at the Westin. I forget why, but I think it was a big corporate event of some sort.
All of Cruz Bay was buzzing with plans to get on any kind of boat that would float in Great Cruz Bay and hear this concert.
So I called the number for Seagrass Cottage and tried to explain what was going on to the people who were staying there.
I said that I was calling from Cruz Bay and that I was a friend of the owners.
They kept saying "We don't know the owners, we're just renting the house."
I said "Do you see that big tent set up down there at the Westin and lots of activity? Jimmy Buffet is playing there tonight and you will probably be able to hear the music from the veranda. I really think this would NOT be a good night for you to go out to dinner and find out later that you missed Jimmy Buffet. Stay home tonight."
I think they thought I was nuts, but they stayed in that night, just in case.
Can you imagine how excited they were when they realized that it was really him?

Ruth was a background singer with Jimmy's band that night.
That's where the song "Chicken Chicken Chick" originated...
