Looking for ideas for first two night's lodging...

Mrs. augie and I will be fortunate enough to be on the island for 11 days (!) in late October/early November this coming fall.

We got what we think is a great deal on a villa, in a part of the island where we haven't stayed before (or even seen for that matter) but it's unavailable for the first two days of our trip.

So we're looking for somewhere we can stay for Thursday and Friday night.

Thought about Cruz Views, but they have a 5 night minimum. We can get that waived, but would need to pay a fee to do so, and may be subject to having to change from the unit we specified pending future bookings. I think all of that is fair, but before I pulled the trigger I wondered what some of our other options that y'all are aware of might be.

We're open to staying just about anywhere on the island.

Thanks!

based on your ticker I thought it was back to Reef Madness for you!
Anywho .. Gallows will allow for 2 nights.
I think Estate Lindholm changed their minimum to 3 but you can check that.
Sailview? Not sure of minimum.
St. John Inn? Some people have stayed there recently but I don't recall any comments about it. Maybe search on that or ask Jayseadee when she returns later this week.
Grande Bay

Augie-Sailview will rent for two days and I highly recommend them after our two stays there. Nice lodging and the rate is wonderful!

You might also consider Secret Harbour over on St. Thomas. 2 nights is the perfect amount of time to spend there....take advantage of their snorkeling and their nice on-site restaurant.

For super basic on St. John, there's also Tamarind Court.

 Too bad your Florida Forum Connection is dragging its feet - ususally there is an extra bedroom or two...
... guess that is not very helpful - sorry.

Thanks everyone - all of the help (and even the thoughtful encouragement) is appreciated.

We're not in any big hurry, but if I'd thought this through a little better I'd have realized that most places have at least a three night minimum, and only booked the villa for eight days, instead of nine.

Since I'll be bringing a polar bear stocked with meat, places without a full sized fridge will be out.

fortunately it will be in the slow season, and the fact that we're looking for a place for Thursday and Friday nights only may mean there are more places available since we won't be in conflict with folks starting their stays on Saturday.

I have emails out to a few places, but this far out a lot of them may not want to tie up a rental for only two nights. As our trip gets closer there may be more "holes" in occupancy that some of the management companies will be looking to plug.

I'm not sure if Grande Bay has a minimum nights, but it looks like they are booking directly on their website now. There are also a few units on vrbo (just got back from a few nights in one of the penthouse suites - very nice).

I would have also suggested the St. John Inn. We did one night there last November. There are mini-fridges in some of the rooms; nothing full size that I am aware of. They do a continental breakfast, so maybe they would have room to store your cooler. No harm in asking.
