You all have those cool tickers...

So I go to tickerfactory.com, make a ticker, and paste the code into my signature box on my profile right?
I can't get it to work! I've tried the HTML and the BBCode, and I'm getting nothing. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I just want a cool ticker like the rest of you!
Thanks for your help....

Just my opinion, but I think the tickers are a little tacky, and detract from the board. They make it more difficult to follow. That being said, my ticker is always set to "0".
peace.... bert

MrsCARolph,
I am with you. I tried and tried to get my countdown under my post, but after hours of trying, I could only get in under my name, on the left. I eventually gave up. I wish I could help you though . . . good luck!

Cheryl,
I used the HTML code, just copy and paste starting with "<img". I did not copy the first line of the code in that window. Paste that code into the 'signature' window in your profile. Really not sure why it isn't working for you...
Oh and make sure that you have "attach signature" checked.

Well Bert, perhaps you should call me Tacky. You don't need a ticker. Those of us that do anxiously await the day until we step off the ferry and I like knowing how many weeks and days left.

So I must be tacky & insane!

I go to timeanddate.com for my countdown ticker. That way it's not on the board. After all, my countdown is a very personal thing.

Are you saying we should
"go public" Pete?

Actually I took my ticker off after Anthony said not to use them anymore.

Really? Did you say that, Anthony?
(not that I doubt you, Jumbiegirl... I'm just curious why)

I had - but I relented. Use them if you want, but I would appreciate not seeing the one affiliated with another Caribbean site - that guy is a rival of ours and I hate seeing him get free advertising here.

I didn't realize that you didn't want them either, Anthony. Is the one I have ok? (I just figured it out . . . actually hubby helped me out

Could it possibly be that you did not hit the submit button. I know that happened to me the first time.
