Trouble in paradise!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a suggestion and pls don't be shy. Staying on STJ for about 10 days in May. We had a trip scheduled to Anguilla, which due to logistics and me finding out more about the island, is now no mas!

We're hitting Anegada for a day, and doing a private charter w/Palmtree. I need suggestion for one more thing to do.

We're not big fans of crowds (adios STT, and boat trips with a whole bunch of tourists....like us:-) ), and prefer nice sandy beaches that we haven't been to (don't we all?) where we can kickback, be catered to and let off some low key steam. Been to the US/BVIs numerous times, done the baths, met foxy, etc. We've hit pretty much all beaches of STJ. Again, STT's out for us and are already visiting STX.

So, with less than a month to go, I'm hoping someone will provide us with the magic cure!!!

Thanks!

Parasailing's awesome...do it if you get a chance wherever you can. I'm looking for a location to go to and kick back at, not an activity.

Was perhaps wondering visiting another resort (little dix, peter island, etc.) for a day perhaps.

Come on guys....puh-leez!

If I'm reading you correctly (especially the section that is in bold), it sounds like either the Westin or Caneel for you.

Cruzan - Where are you staying?

If you aren't staying at Caneel, this might be a good alternative to hauling all the way to Little Dix -

For $140, enjoy a massage and have lunch at the Caneel Beach Terrace restaurant or Caneel Beach Bar. Stay in the mood by relaxing on Caneel Beach and enjoy the use of our towels, sun-loungers and water-sports equipment.

The link is - http://www.massagestjohn.com/chillout.html

it is buried under the services page and sort of hard to find. I actual learned about it through an ad in the SunTimes.

You need to try Vieques. It is a small island off of Puerto Rico and only about twelve miles from St. Thomas.

It is home to the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world. It also has a volcanic black sand beach. Lost of great beaches to visit. The US Navy left there some years ago and have created a huge national park.

Okay, my fault for not explaining better,
we're staying at Caneel for 10 days. I'm looking possibly for a very cool and relaxing daytrip to somewhere.
I've called the place on Peter Island, Biras Creek, Guana Island, Little Dix, etc to see if we can come crash on their property (and pay of course) for the day and so far all have said no except Little Dix which I haven't heard back from.

If you have any ideas, sans STT, pls share. I appreciate your response.

@ STX Lady, I is a wannabe-Crucian, meh son! My parents have a place just off the buccaneer on Shoy's. We were there in November. You live on a gorgeous island.

Caneel offers day trips to Little Dix Bay (it is a sister resort). This is from memory, but I think it's only offered on Wednesday. They have some sort of a package where you split time between the two resorts on the same vacation and if I recall Wednesday is the travel day.

If staying at Caneel then I would recommend their day trip to Little Dix. Big comfortable boat and all the perks that you get at Caneel.

Our friends did massages at the spa and said it was fantastic. Apparently there is a private pool, saunas and such. We didn't join them as spas aren't my huband's thing.

We did have a great lunch at Little Dix's buffet. (I normally do not like buffets and actively avoid them) There was a big selection of local foods like stewed conch, roti, seafood.

Day Trip

Last year we visited Peter Island for the day with Capt Brandi of Palm Tree Charters. Their beachside restauramt is open to the public and we had no problem using the loungers and hammocks on the beach. The water is beautiful at that sopt. The resort pool is in a different area, very near to where we docked, and we were not intrested in using it.
We did not call to ask for a day use pass, we were just unobtrusive. They met us at the dock with a golf cart and transported us to the restaurant. I guess we culd have walked over if we were presses for time.

thanks everyone for your input. We checked the suggestions and are doing a combo:
we're taking caneel's shuttle ferry over to little dix, hang around for a bit, and then having the folks of Dive BVI meet us @ little dix and take us around to some out of the day places.

So, THANKS 2 all!!!
