Folks,

I think I will try to spend this summer in the islands - STT and STJ. I am looking for a spot for 6 to 8 weeks - 2 bedrooms. I am also looking for a summer camp for my 9 yr old.

Not sure if I will end up on STT or STJ, or both. A mix would be ideal.

I work at home, so I'll need a place with a DSL line or a place where I can install a second phone line at my expense. I'll need a reliable connection during business hours. I am a professional IT person.

I'm also open to caretaking for the right home - in exchange for room.

Consider La Jolla Caribe (through destinationstjohn.com). It is relatively inexpensive for a 6 bedroom home but has free high speed wireless DSL. It worked great for business and general internet needs for us. (You need your own computer). The house is gorgeous and has unbeatable views and is close to Cinnamon Beach. The summer breezes are great.

Anole is another nice place nearby but is smaller. I don't know if they have internet.
