Mixology Warehouse question

Definitely want to use their delivery server for my upcoming April trip. A few questions - do they have non-alcoholic beverages (soda, water) and mixers (coco lopez, pineapple juice - I LOVE pina coladas in the pool!). Secondly, do you need to coordinate with your villa rental agent for them to have access to the house? Thanks all.

Aren't you coming into Cara Mia after us? I will be sure to tell the cleaning crew to leave any of our leftover booze for you! (not that I am expecting to have anything left over)

I can confirm that Mixology has sodas, waters, and coco lopez. I would like to know about the delivery service too. Also, how can you see what they have in stock? Do you have to call them? I don't see a product list on their website.

Hi,
From our past experience, when we placed our order, we asked that they put a few goodies in the Fridge, which was great to come into the villa on arrival & have a cold one waiting. I pre arranged the delivery with both the villa rental company & Mixollogy.
As for what they have, that is hard with there not being an actual list of what they carry but they were very good in letting me know what they had or could get.

I found the hardest part of ordering was the wines, as they carried a large number of Calafornia wines, but we were happy with our choices.
I called them & they were great to work with & will be using them for our upcoming return this April.
Tks

In my experience, Mixology can order most things with a week's notice. We always load up on the Mount Gay Extra Old. Last I spoke to them their fax machine was dead. We just called and placed the order for pickup. Delivery was for more than $100 orders. We usually come in over $300 not including take home.

Cheers, RickG

How much in advance should the order be placed?

Timely topic! :)

What does it take to get to $100? With just two of us drinking, and we're not big drinkers, I doubt we'd make the $100 limit, but it depends on price. I was thinking that we would need three cases of beer (Caribe for me and something light for my wife), and a couple of liters of rum (Cruzan or Mount Gay). We'll also want diet coke, OJ and pineapple juice, but would those be cheaper at Starfish?

It might be hard to hit that $100 mark. Something to think about, the Presidente cans were a big hit in November. The lite beer people liked it and beer drinks thought they were pretty good. Caribe was probably number 2. My personal favorite was the Guiness Foreign Extra Stout - West Indian Viagra!!

I'm thinking we'll need:

For "Mrs. Augie":

Bottle of tequila - she likes margaritas!

Bottle of margarita mix (or two)

12-24 caffeine free diet cokes (is that something that can be had down there?)

For me:

Some rum - I usually like Myer's Dark, but am open to suggestions for anything similar that is more local.

Beer - I have Corona, Beck's, Beck's Dark, Guinness Stout, and Boddingtons in my beerfrigerator at home, but again will be more than willing to drink some of the more local brew, so the Caribe and Presidente will likely get the nod.

Sounds like we'll be way short of the c-note, so I guess I'll plan to stop by and do a pick up.

hmmm
I drink CF diet but I don't think I could get it down there. I just went with the regular diet coke. but don't even think we drank a 6 pack in 10 days - mostly stuck to water or adult beverages ;)

If your a Meyers guy you probably will not like the Cruzan Dark, stick with Meyers! Mixology was less expensive then Starfish for liquors and beer.

We used Mixology on our recent trip. I talked to Gary Moses, the owner, and he special ordered a few things he didn't have in stock. Most importantly, he asked for the name of our villa rental agent, and he said he would coordinate with the agent about getting into the house. All I can say is that when we arrived, everything we ordered was there---some of the beer and water had been put in the fridge. We ordered beer, bottled water (cheaper than Starfish---shouldhave ordered more), mixers, pop (as we say in the midwest), wine, booze (higher prices than Pine Peace, but not bad at all). Since there were 10 of us, the $100 minimum was no problem.

Jim,

Thanks for the input on the villa coordination. With our group of 10 (or 12) I think the $100 should get us through the first day or two!! I admit, having drinks waiting sounds great.

My order came to 82. I got OJ, pinapplejuice, cocolopez, Purssur's dark rum, vodka (stoli)sp., coconut rum, roses lime juice, sprite, coke, and 2 six packs of Coor's lite. I know I'm forgetting something. Oh yeah, I also got a 4-pack of gallon jugs of water for 6. I thought that was pretty cheap. We are staying in town and they did not charge a delivery charge. They don't have limes or lemons.
