Crap! It's our last day. What I hate about leaving is that I have to wait a whole year to come back. Unless we win the lottery of course.

It rained this morning so we took our time and went to breakfast at the Donkey Diner. Tara McGregor the waitress there is from our part of the country and a good friend to the daughter of an old workmate of ours. Where you able to follow all that? Nice girl, great breakfast and a pleasant connection.

Headed out to Big Lameshur for the last snorkel. Another good one. Right off the beach we spot a nurse shark under a rock and then two big scrawled filefish. It was a bit murky from the recent rain but the fish spotting was great, angels, rays and then as we get out to Donkey Bight we see a black tipped shark. I saw it, identified it, then tried to get the picture. It turned out toward the murk and I turned to follow trying to get the camera focused. Then it looked like he was beginning to circle around and I said to myself, the heck with it. Actually I was a bit more explicit than that, but you get the idea. Mrs. BillVT declared we return to the beach. So here's a picture of a bucktoothed parrotfish instead.

Returned to town and printed off our boarding passes at Connections. What a nice place and staff. Topped off the jeep and returned to the villa for a desalinizing soak and rehydration. It is the Last Day Buffet this eventing and then tomorrow the Long Day.

Bill and I know the pain and saddness of leaving. We were on island for two and a half weeks and came home March 7th and still haven't recovered. We still cry when we look at the Spice Cam everyday. God Bless, things will get better knowing you will return to that wonderful rock. Chin up!

Sorry you have to leave, but from the looks and sounds of it you all did a darn fine job of it while you were there. :) Safe travels home!

Sorry that you're leaving also. I enjoyed your posts. The only time we saw sharks was Little Lameshur. I've read more posts about sharks on Lameshur. Is it a breading ground or something? It was just a baby shark, but still a shark. Hubby is not afraid of them, but I have fear.

Yikes, I think I'd poo myself if I saw a shark... no matter how big!
