waterproof watches

Hoping my husband won't see this since it is on the off topic forum.

I need a recommendation for a decent waterproof watch, his bday is coming up.

The main reason is that he will go snorkeling with my 12 year old daughter and be gone a very long time. I start to worry and last time the sun was getting low and I was in a near panic. I think they lose track of time out there.

He doesn't scuba, but he does dive down pretty far when snorkeling. A plus would be for it to be a nice looking casual/sporty watch.

Thanks! I don't want to spend a ton, I was hoping to get something under $100.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have always had good luck with Timex watches while snorkeling. Maybe something like this?

I found two "FreeStyle" @ Marshall's. Both are womans, a Bella & a Shark.....$15.00. They may have men's also or look online @ "FreeStyle". They have both worked great since October "09 in the STX Caribbean!!!

I too can recommend the Timex watches. I like the Ironman watches and am on my 2nd one (only because it's cheaper to buy a new watch than to replace the battery - which did last about 10 years!)

I have Del Mar and an Invicta dive watches. I like them both, but I recently left the crown slightly open on the Invicta and then went in a pool. Oops, there is condensation in there now. But it still works. I guess I should start a new thread, but does anyone know how to get the condensation out of there? It is probably not worth taking it to a jewelry store. I just hope it dries out.
Neither watch was onve $100 and I had the Del Mar at 99 feet down and it did not fail.

I, too, love my Timex Ironman watch! I try to remember to reset the stopwatch timer as I go out to snorkel - just to remind me how long I've been out.

I posted too late so had to go ahead and buy. I considered Iron Man but was worried that people would burst out laughing if they saw him in that

Ended up getting a Casio, I don't know if it was any good, but it looks really cool and he likes it.

Thanks though!
