Member calendar, other news -

I think I am up to date on the member travel calendar.
In other news, our refresh of the site is of course behind schedule but I can say it is very real this time. It won't happen by April 1 as planned, but I think by the 14th (which coincides with my Mother-In-Law's arrival - not that that has to do with anything) the new St. John section should be live with new maps for dining, shopping, villas, and a NEW review system - as well as a bunch of fresh content.

There will also be a registration system, that unfortunately can not interface with the forum - so - I am going to post when it is ready and kindly ask you all (at least those of you who have left reviews in the past and will want to continue to do so, etc.) to register on the new system with your existing user names here. Not a perfect system, but I think we can work it out.

If anyone has something they think should be included in the new version of the site that fits into the following categories, please let me know (the number in parentheses are not final but rough for what we already have in the system - the categories will probably change slightly too):

Beaches (we are working on this list as we previously haven't had this info - I will be posting our list here soon)
Beauty & Spa (1)
Camping (3)
Car & Jeep Rental (5)
Catering & Provisioning
Diving & Snorkeling
Real Estate (7)
Shopping (9)
Taxi
Watersports (4)
Weddings (7)

You can email me webmaster@caribbean-on-line.com, post here what you think should be added (Name and URL), or PM me the info. No villas or dining - we have that exhaustively covered, and once we go live, if we are still missing stuff we'll add it then.

Hoping that this refresh will include updates on the ferry schedules and phone numbers. Looking forward to the maps and upgrades!
That's all from me today....

Hey Anthony,
Slightly off topic from the changes that your pushing out soon, but I have a question about replying to PM's. Is there a way to see the message that you're replying to? Often times after I hit reply and start typing my message, I forget to answer a question someone asked, etc.. since it's not included in the e-mail body.

When you reply to a topic thread, you see the previous messages at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't seem to be that way with PM's.

Just curious!

For the PMs, yes - just use the "Quote" button... almost mandatory for me, because if you don't, the original sender has no idea what you are talking about usually anyway :)

Okay, feeling a little foolish now! I never, ever saw the "Quote" button before! I guess you learn something new everyday. Thanks!!

Anthony,
How about Day Sails. Every trip, I seem to take a lot of time to search the old threads for reviews. I'll be on St John in four days and will be back the 13th, just in time to write a review.
Thanks
