this year we will be staying part of our vacation aboard a catamaran. we may be showering on deck and was just wondering if there is a natural shampoo and conditioner to use that will not pollute the ocean!! thanks in advance for any info.... a natural bar soap would be great too..

I went to my health food store and bought all natural soap and we used that as shampoo as well. I don't remember the brand, but I never had softer hair.

A friend of mine hade a sailboat and talked about saltwater soap. I found this:

"Sailor SoapTM is a biodegradable, concentrated cleanser for face, hair and body, that both lathers and rinses in salt water! Great in fresh water too, for lake boaters, fishermen, hikers and campers. "

Urine is sterile - not wanting to add more soap suds to the ocean is a good thing, no?
