Thanks for the encouragement for my earlier picture postings. Boy looking through several years of shots is killing me, sitting here next to the wood stove! Hope I ain' t boring you all.

This, of course, is the lovely Ms. Vie, sitting in the very cool chair that someone made for her.

This is for Jorge, a different perspective of his favorite beach, Salt Pond, taken from the Ram Head trail.

Soleful peace. I think this was Grootpan, but it may've been Kiddle Bay.
Image

This is why we do the beach thing early. This is Francis at about 10:00 a.m.

This a stitched shot I took from Yawzi Point. If you've never walked that trail, you should. It's very easy, though we did it around midnite, on the full moon a couple of years ago, and that was kinda spookey!
Image

From Drunk Bay. Again, if you go to Salt Pond, you really should take the easy walk over and see the "art gallery" at Drunk Bay. It can be spookey even during the day!
Image

This just cracked me up. It was somewhere around Ajax Peak. gotta love the island humor.
Image

These guys showed up for breakfast on our first day a couple years ago. Love it when they just stop by.
Image

Lameshur, from Yawzi Point Trail.
Image

Can you guess?
Image

The million dollar view from the deck at "In The Stars". This was before they rebuilt it, when it was affordable. Now, I think it cost a million to stay there,
Image

The end of the rainbow. No pot of gold though.
Image

BT, taken' it all in on Drunk Bay.
Image

This was taken as I was leaving Vie's beach in June 2005. Notice the family grave sites also.
Image

Sunrise from Casa Nita
Image

View from the deck at Casa Nita. That's Freis Bay and Miss Lucy's is on the upper right side of the beach, as you're looking at it.
Image

I love their sign! Wish it was mine!
Image

Ram Head. If you're too late in the day you feel like you're making the trip to Mount Doom with Frodo!
Image

This is one of my favorite shots. It was taken on the Blue Cobblestone Beach.
Image

This was taken from the very top of Ram Head. The walk isn't for everybody, but I want do it every trip.

Image

Everybody loves a starfish. This was along the walk to Waterlemon Cay. Amazing how clear that came out, as it was in pretty deep water, taken from the shore. Oh! For the turquoise water, eh?
Image

Anyway, Hope you get a little inspiration from these. Sorry that it was many, but over the past few years I have accumulated hundreds of STJ shots and it was hard to narrow it down to these. But, jeezy-peezy I miss that place!

Thanks for the wonderful pix! The cold weather has returned here in NJ (after a very brief hiatus) and these were a pleasure.

WOW - I love posts like this. Wonderful pictures!

How do you make 49 days go faster?

I can also see that I need to get another memory card for my camera.

Those are awesome - thanks for sharing them with us!

For a lot of (most?) folks on here, they probably bring back memories.

Since I've never seen most of STJ, and have never been to most of the places that are always talked about on here (first trip to STJ as more than a day visitor is scheduled for this coming October), all of the pictures , stories, and such just help build my excitement and anticipation of the trip, not that either of those is lacking.

Keep 'em coming!

Great pics, this made my morning. The "guess where" picture looks like the bathroom at Skinnys. I recognize the tree on Blue Cobblestone beach. That's another great spot for the occasional artwork.

Cheers, RickG

How right you are regarding the "guess where" shot, Rick. For some reason it seemed like a good shot at the time. I love the Blue cobblestone beach. I think of it as one of the most picturesque places on the island.
