Right now I am listening to Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, and the Zac Brown band. I am looking to expand my horizons! What music puts you on island time?

I'm not very original, but any reggae (specifically Bob Marley) does it for me. I have 2 Marley CD's on permanent rotation in my, yes I'm going to say it, minivan. The kids love it and he and Jimmy Buffett can always sooth frazzled nerves coming home from work. We have been to Jamaica 6 times, most recent trip with our 6 yr and 9yr old and now they are bitten by the island bug! We are deviating and trying St John sans kids this summer. I even hijack the computer at work and find the reggae station on AOL, Yahoo or Pandora. I'm sure my coworkers get sick of me!

We love some of the bands we've seen in Key West--Boat Drunks from the Chicago area (www.boatdrunks.com), Jim Morris (www.jim-morris.com) and Gene Mitchell (www.genemitchell.com) - all beach/boat/island music. They are all also on itunes if you want to check out some smaple music.

Desmond Dekker & The Aces

Great old-school reggae music from the sixties.

Reggae, Santana, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, etc.

The Tito and Celia has a "Spanish-Caribbean" feel for me...
