Disney World and VI's in one year - - am I certifiable??

So with the pending tax refund headed my way, I booked a spur of the moment trip to Disney World for the kids' Spring Break 3/12 - 3/17!

4 days; 4 parks. I was, well, drinking wine

Sunday night with the hubs when I started getting emotional that the babies just grow up so fast (they are 11 & 13) that this might be the last window of opportunity for WDW. At least that they'd be excited about.
So I went into my usual "you only go through this life one time, better make the most of it" mode. And bit the bullet! So needless to say, I have a happy crew with the prospect of WDW and USVI's all in one year! Debate finished over the choice between the two (even though they are GOOD kids and pick the USVI

)!
Any advice for WDW or should I post that question on off-topic? Haven't been since 2005.

Your in the same boat as us. The Islands in April/May and then onto Disney around October (that's for the daughter).
Sorry to say that I've had my fill of Disney over the years. You get to the park feeling pretty good, looking refreshed.
By the time everybody is leaving the park they look exhausted and are in need of a good shower.
Good luck!
God help us

I thought it was normal...we always do Disney or a Cruise( 4 days) and and then 9 days in STJ for Spring Break. This year we're Doing DC in May too and the boat gets put in the water Memorial weekend for 3 months of summer fun!...lol
Our babies are also 14 and 11 to be this year.
Of course, the kids also know they will be getting scholorships or loans or working their way through college.
We just told them that mom and dad are coming to STJ in Oct for a week without them...talk about a mutiny...lol

Count me in as nutty. I am trying to figure out how to squeeze a WDW trip in after our upcoming STJ trip, either before or after a Thanksgiving trip with my mom and before 2011 STJ trip.

I think that anyone that goes to WDW voluntarily is nuts!
But I feel the same way about ALL theme parks, so it might just be me that's "off" (and I do get told that, in a number of ways!)

I do Disney (with kids) and the USVI (no kids!)every year. You are not nuts, you are just a dedicated vacationer! I've been to Disney, well, I am not sure how many times. Probably around 30. If you need help planning your trip we can talk on the OT forum or feel free to pm me.

Just got back from Disney with our kids 12 and 8. We love it but we also go in January because of the low crowds. If we were there when it was crowded I think we would not be very happy. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer. Where are you staying?

Thanks all for the chime-ins that I am not crazy! Just goofy, sorry for the pun! I found a great rate ($39/nite!) at the Ramada Inn Maingate w mi from WDW. They have a free shuttle to/from. I already bought tickets and have a plan for which days we're going to each park, custom maps for what we want to see/ride and a list of FP rides. I think we're set! Hopefully the weather will warm up by then!

I agree Augie. I can't say that I love theme parks.
I would bet that we would like them more if we went during the "off" season but we are on our kids schedule--spring break, Christmas break, summer break--and that is when they are the busiest.

hmmm. are you asking if you are certifiable because you are doing two vacations in one year or doing disney.....?
either way, two vacations is lightweight in this travel obsessed family!---

You're not alone. We're doing STJ in April and WDW in October - just happens to coincide with the Wine and Food Festival in Epcot. Pure coincidence...
