The bright side of snow and ice

It's funny for the children

We took care of our grandchildren for some days, and near our home there are many sledge runs.

So every day we tried some of them, and they just loved it. Sometimes one on each sledge and sometimes together on one sledge with changing “first mate”.

The youngest one was very absorbed in his job as “ first mate”

In the weekend we visited our summerhouse, and they enjoyed to be drawn over the "bathing beath".

The oldest one took his sledge too long away from us, so we became a little nervous and shouted
after him (the water is deeper out there, and we wasn’t sure about, how stable the ice was). He is more curious than obedient, so we had to yell very high and angry, before he stopped.

But I like the pic.

Those are great shots and some happy kids. Winter can be beautiful.

This morning we had awfully cold, -27C/-16F and that was the record for this season. Not so nice being outdoors then.

Amazing shots...especially the last one with the dark clouds. I too would've been nervous to have that precious boy so far out!

Great photos of your beautiful grandkids! It looks like they had a great time.

We had several inches of snow overnight. Not so fun to shovel (it's heavy and wet) but it is stuck to all the tree branches and very beautiful. It transforms the landscape.
